Kevin Graham-Bey

His journey through the adult correctional system exposed him to the realities that many justice-impacted individuals face—loss of stability, broken relationships, limited resources, stigma, and the uncertainty of what comes next. But instead of allowing those experiences to define him, Kevin allowed them to shape his purpose.
 
What once felt like tribulation became the foundation for service.
 
Kevin came to understand that successful reintegration takes more than simply being released back into the community. People need guidance, accountability, encouragement, access to resources, and someone who understands the road they are walking. That realization became part of the dream behind Impact Lives—creating a place where individuals can be supported as they rebuild their lives with dignity, structure, and hope.
 
As a Certified Peer Support Specialist, Kevin brings more than training to the work. He brings lived experience. He understands the power of having someone beside you who can say, “I understand where you have been, and I also know that where you have been does not have to determine where you are going.”
 
A major part of Kevin’s vision is peer mentoring and peer monitoring. He believes people are more likely to succeed when they have consistent support, healthy accountability, and someone checking in—not simply when something goes wrong, but throughout the entire journey.
 
Peer monitoring can help individuals stay connected to their goals, identify challenges before they become crises, celebrate progress, build healthy routines, navigate community resources, and remain accountable to the future they are working to create. It is not about judgment or control. It is about connection, consistency, encouragement, and accountability.
 
Kevin is especially passionate about serving communities that are often overlooked or underserved, including individuals returning home from incarceration, people experiencing homelessness or housing instability, those navigating recovery, and families trying to rebuild after difficult seasons.
 
His personal experiences allow him to see beyond a person's circumstances. Where others may see a record, Kevin sees potential. Where others may see failure, he sees an opportunity for restoration. Where someone may believe their story is over, he sees another chapter waiting to begin.
 
Through Impact Lives, Kevin's dream is to help build a community where people are not simply told to “do better,” but are actually given the support, tools, relationships, and opportunities they need to be better, live differently, and move forward with purpose.
 
Kevin Graham-Bey's story is a reminder that our hardest experiences can become some of our greatest qualifications for serving others.
 
His journey did not end with incarceration. It became the beginning of his mission.
